Revival of History with Television, History of TRT and TV Series (1974-2020) In the history of Turkish television, it is important to consider the changes in the production of popular TV series in terms of the attitude of the state channel TRT, the producers of the projects, the expectations of the audience, the sensitivities brought by daily life and the dynamics around the political agenda. In this study, the historical and political place of the studies, which have been discussed since the establishment of TRT, in the periods when TV series broadcasting from 1974 to the present were produced as a popular and cultural text on Turkish television, was evaluated in the context of changing values, needs and expectations. For this purpose, it is meaningful in this sense to reconsider the types and titles of TV series productions that TRT has handled since 1974, in its unique production conditions and political atmosphere, in order to understand the expectations of the audience from television from past to present. By looking more closely at some indicators such as time, power, culture, religion, and ideology, it is possible to see the changes and differences in this popular field (TV series) from past to present.
